Obtain your Hilti firestop EJ in three easy steps

1. Log in or register

Already registed with Hilti? Log in to the online platform using your existing credentials. Alternatively, register for a new account with your email address.

2. Submit application details

Choose your application type and options, including fire rating. Smart filters let you choose penetration type or specific products where relevant. Add comments and/or attach files as necessary.

3. Access EJ drawings online

Once you have submitted your request, you will receive a confirmation email. You can then add comments and/or files at any time. Completed drawing(s) will be available online when they are ready.

What is an engineering judgement?

Engineering judgements are recommended solutions for specific jobsite conditions

For firestop, an engineering judgment, or EJ, is a drawing or group of drawings usually generated by a firestop manufacturer for a customer’s jobsite-specific application. They are recommended solutions when jobsite conditions deviate from a tested firestop design or system.

Hilti firestop solutions are tested against the most stringent test standards such as ASTM/UL and EN1366-3 and -4. But it’s not possible to test every firestop application, because construction projects are all very different. That’s why we offer EJs.
